Not only are lamps lighting tools, but also design products. Sometimes they can also become style icons, as it happened for Lampada Arco, designed by Achille Castiglioni in 1962.

Learning about the history of design is the way to understand its evolution, as well as the creativity and technical innovation that characterizes it. Moreover, it helps understand why it is now increasingly important for home lighting to be socially and environmentally friendly, as well as aesthetically pleasing.

During the last years, the most important publishing houses have printed very interesting books, both monographic and anthological, where the man-light-space relationship is analyzed, taking into account the deep links between light and environmental design and focusing on the changes of contemporary design.

Luci Italiane, in collaboration with the most promising designers, are following this documented historical path, developing its own style and philosophy.
